A GLIMPSE OF KERALA - 10 Nights/11 Days in God’s Own Country 


Day1

               Check in to resort at Kumarakom. Sight seeing: An opportunity to view traditional fishing and toddy tapping. Sunset cruise through Vembanad Lake.

Day2

Visit to the ornithologist’s paradise, the famous 14-acre Kumarakom bird sanctuary in the morning. This is the favourite haunt of a wide variety of domestic and migratory birds.
 

              Check in to the Houseboat at 12.00 Noon (Lunch in the houseboat)
Backwater cruise - Spend the night in the houseboat. Check out next day 10.00 a.m. 

Day3

               At 10 a.m., proceed to Cochin - the palm green, commercial capital of Kerala, which has one of the finest natural harbors. Cochin is known as the "Queen Of The Arabian Sea". From time immemorial, Arabs, Chinese, Dutch, British and Portuguese seafarers followed the sea route to Kochi and left their impression on the town. 


               Have the Complimentary Buffet lunch at the Revolving Restaurant. Check in to the hotel by afternoon. Take rest. Visit to Fort Cochin (the first European township in India) including beachfront and the famous Chinese fishing nets. Evening shopping.


Day4




Full day sightseeing tour of Dutch Palace, Church of St. Francis, Jewish Synagogue, Light and Sound Museum and Hill Palace museum.
 

Day5

                 At 8 A.M. proceed to Thekkady. On the way have the Complimentary Buffet lunch at the Lake Queen restaurant. Check in to the resort at Kuttikanam/Thekkady in the afternoon. Take rest and enjoy the cool climate. Sight seeing: Trip to Peeru hills, Peer Mohammed Tomb, Summer Palace of Travancore Maharajas. 

Day6

             One hour Trekking and trip to Thekkady/Periyar Wildlife sanctuary, Boating in Periyar Lake, visit to Spice plantations and Tea factory. 


Day7

                Proceed to Kovalam. Check in to the hotel/resort by evening. Take rest.

Day8

               Visit to the world-famous Eve’s Beach, Vizhinjam harbour and Sea Aquarium.
 

Day9

               Proceed to Kanyakumari. On the way, visit Padmanabhapuram Palace. Visit the point where the three oceans meet at Kanyakumari and the Vivekananda Rock. Return to Trivandrum after sunset.
 

Day10


              Trivandrum sightseeing. View Padmananabhaswamy temple, visit Kuthiramalika, Napier Museum , Veli tourist village and Shanghumugham Beach. Also shopping.


Day11

Departure.
